Global HSE Group are thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for Training and Development of the Year at the ASFP Awards 2024.

The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) Awards aim to recognise excellence within the passive fire protection industry, showcasing these incredible achievements to fellow members and industry peers.

Chris Sharman joins to lead the Global Academy charge

Global HSE Group, industry leaders in comprehensive fire safety, specialising in passive fire protection and technical fire consultancy, are delighted to announce the expansion of Global Academy with the appointment of Chris Sharman.

Chris returns to Global HSE Group in the role of Head of Technical and Training where he will be responsible for the delivery and development of training within the Global Academy, whilst also providing Technical Support to the operational and Fire Engineering branches of the group.

Chris has been involved in the fire safety sector since the late 1990s in both the active and passive sectors. He has worked in roles from installation to contracts, sales to manufacturing and from Technical to Training, with his most recent role as the Training Manager for trade association the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP).

Over the past 12 months, Global Academy has trained over 100 participants in the Level 3 Fire Door Inspections Course accredited with ABBE and WFST. The course set an industry benchmark, meeting the needs for legal requirement for the responsible person(s) of multi-occupant residential buildings over 11 meters to undertake inspections annually on fire doors at the entrances of individual domestic premises.

LHC Frameworks Fire Safety (FS2)

Global HSE Group are excited to announce that we have successfully been accepted onto the LHC Procurement Group Fire Safety (FS2) Framework.

Fire Safety (FS2) has been developed by LHC following ongoing engagement and consultation with the market and public sector organisations, including housing associations and local authorities providing an efficient, value for money procurement route to deliver a broad range of fire safety projects to ensure safety of tenants and occupants.

The LHC fire safety framework covers:

  • Fire safety systems servicing and maintenance
  • Cladding remediation
