Global HSE Group, a leading provider of comprehensive fire safety and passive fire protection, has announced the launch of a dedicated Health & Safety (H&S) division. This strategic expansion is designed to offer property investors and managing agents a single-source partner for Health & Safety, Fire, and Water Hygiene.
The new division will be led by Paul Westwick, who joins Global as the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Lead. Paul brings extensive specialist experience in commercial risk management, specifically across high-value portfolios in the built environment. A senior SHEQ executive with 25 years’ group management experience, built on 18 years’ foundational ‘hands-on’ advisory.
Paul Westwick, Head of Health & Safety division at Global HSE Group, commented:
“I am thrilled to lead the health and safety division. For too long, property managers have had to juggle three different consultancies for their core compliance needs. It creates gaps in data and gaps in safety.
Our goal with this new division is to close those gaps. By integrating Fire Risk Assessments, Water Hygiene, and health and safety Auditing into one expert-led service, we are helping them build safer, more valuable assets.”
The launch comes in response to a growing market need for an integrated approach to building safety. With the Building Safety Act 2022 placing tighter regulatory pressure on Accountable Persons, managing health and safety, Fire, and Water (Legionella) in silos has become a significant risk.
Global HSE Group’s new division aims to move away from box-ticking exercises to provide pragmatic, data-led strategies that protect people and assets.
Andrew Cooper, Managing Director of Global HSE Group, commented:
“This launch marks a pivotal step in our growth strategy. Our clients in the commercial and housing sectors have increasingly asked for a partner who can view compliance holistically rather than in isolation.
By bringing Health and Safety and Water Hygiene in-house to sit alongside our established Fire Engineering and Passive Fire divisions, we can now offer a truly integrated safety solution. Paul’s commercial expertise and pragmatic approach make him the perfect leader to drive this division forward and deliver real value to our clients.”
